How do I return an item?

RETURN POLICY, RMA GUIDELINES AND REFUND POLICY
All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. An RMA can be obtained by calling 805-210-6835 or emailing customerservice@universal binders.com. All returns with an approved RMA must be received no later than 30 days from the original purchase date. Customer should prominently display the RMA number(s) clearly on the shipping label of boxes containing returned product. Any returned merchandise that has not followed our Return Policy may be rejected and returned to the customer at the customer's expense.

NON-DEFECTIVE PRODUCT
Standard legal tabs returned due to customer error/mistake will only be accepted within 21 days from order date. A restocking fee of 25% will apply.

Tabs that are not returnable for credit are:


Standard legal tabs that have been hole punched.

Blank side or bottom tabs due to their fragile state.

Custom tabs made to your requirements.

Standard legal tabs that are no longer in resale condition.


Customer agrees to use only reputable carriers capable of providing proof of delivery and insurance for the entire value of the shipment. The original shipping charge will be deducted from credit amount if the order was eligible for free shipping. Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges.


The original credit card used for purchase will be credited back within 5 business days of returned merchandise inspection.


DEFECTIVE PRODUCT
Defective items also require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Upon approval, original shipping charges for defective product may be credited back, depending on special cases like original order was shipped for free due to eligibility. Universal Binders & Tabs may choose to issue a return label for defective items. Customer agrees to use only reputable carriers capable of providing proof of delivery and insurance for the entire value of the shipment. Universal will replace defective tabs with new ones and pay for shipping costs.
DAMAGE CAUSED IN SHIPPING
Please do not accept any packages from the shipping carrier that have visible signs of damage caused in shipping. If you do accept product that has been damaged in shipping, you must report the loss directly through the shipping carrier.
REFUND POLICY

The original credit card used for purchase will be credited back within 5 business days of returned merchandise inspection. We will also email you as soon as we initiate the refund.

The original shipping charge will be deducted from credit amount if the order was eligible for free shipping. Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges at their expense.
